Sample itinerary for Paris & Loire Valley trips

Day 1

  • Overnight flight to France.

Day 2

  • Arrive in Paris and hop aboard your motorcoach. Next stop: Loire Valley! 
  • On a local guided tour, get introduced to the city of Orléans, known for having been freed by Joan of Arc in the 15th century.

Day 3

  • Explore the king of castles, Chambord, on a histopad tour of the architectural masterpiece. 
  • Visiting France without cheese would be a crime! Let's visit a cheese farm to discover the secret to making this fragrant delicacy.
  • Enjoy a good night's rest in the city of Tours. Bonne nuit!

Day 4

  • The architecture of the Chenonceau Castle will certainly surprise you and have you ask the question: is it a castle or a bridge? With its rich art collection and preserved decor,  you will surely be brought back in time, in the blink of an eye. Enjoy!
  • With Loire being a wine region, today is the day to learn about the wine-making process! 
  • Troglodyte-housing is unique to the Loire Valley. Get to know a bit more about this fascinating way of living at La Magnanerie Troglodyte Village. 
  • Stroll through the picturesque city of Amboise with your tour leader to discover Le Clos Lucé, the royal domain that has hosted kings, as well as the brilliant inventor Leonardo da Vinci.
  • Do you know what a fouace is? Get to know the local delicacy during your dinner in Amboise.

Day 5

  • Discover the perfect example of French Renaissance as you explore the Azay-le-Rideau castle.
  • Take part in an exciting treasure hunt aboard a boat cruise on the Loire! All aboard mateys! 
  • We hope you're hungry! Time to enjoy an exquisite dinner in a local Angers restaurant! Bon appétit

Day 6

  • Hit the road towards Paris and make a stop in Chartres to visit its cathedral, an architectural masterpiece! 
  • Put on your French beret, grab a ball and prepare for an initiation to pétanque, France's traditional ball game. Bienvenue à Paris! 
  • Enjoy authentic local flavors during a dinner in one of the oldest districts of Paris, Le Marais! Despite its name, which directly translates to "the swamp", the neighborhood is nothing like one, filled with picturesque streets and delicious foods! 

Day 7

  • Put on your walking shoes and head out for a guided tour of Paris with a local guide.
  • Fluctuat nec mergitur is Paris' motto. You'd better start freshening up your Latin before heading out to the Quartier Latin, the city's intellectual district!
  • Unveil the mystery behind the enigmatic smile of Mona Lisa during your visit of the Musée du Louvre.
  • Get an overview of the city as you make your way up the Dame de Fer, the Eiffel Tower! 

Day 8

  • Pack up your bags and say au-revoir to this foreign land as you're flying back home!
