Sample itinerary for Rome & Naples trips

DAY 1

  • Overnight flight to Italy.

DAY 2

  • Arrive in Rome and enjoy your first moments in Italy as you stretch out your legs.
  • Enjoy a panoramic tour of the city to catch a glimpse of the marvels of la Città Eterna before settling in for the day.

DAY 3

  • Explore fascinating Ancient Rome with a local guide to see the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Ave Caesar!
  • Visit a second country for the day! Head to the Vatican to visit its most famous sites: the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica and, of course, the Sistine Chapel.
  • Recreate the days of the Roman Empire during an impressive Gladiator Show.

DAY 4

  • Head out for a guided tour of Baroque Rome to see the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, and stop by the one and only Trevi Fountain. Prepare your spare change and make a wish!
  • Flour, water, and salt, the three basic ingredients of one of Italy's most famous dishes: pizza! Dive into local gastronomy during your pizza-making workshop!

DAY 5

  • All aboard! Next stop, the Bay of Naples.
  • Get your first taste of one of the most unchanged city center in Europe as you follow your local guide on a tour of Naples.
  • Visit the surprising underground city comprised of labyrinths of tunnels, tanks and cavities from ancient times, that shape a second city of Naples.
  • Discover the Catacombs of San Gaudioso, an underground burial site to the first Christians of the city, and home to beautiful frescoes and mosaics from the paleochristian era. 

DAY 6

  • Lace up your shoes for a fascinating hike to the top of Mount Vesuvius with a specialist guide. Beware, the giant volcano is only sleeping...
  • Learn about life in 80 B.C. on your visit of the Pompeii excavations site, where locals froze forever in time following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

DAY 7

  • Head out to the beautiful island of Capri for the day!
  • Discover Capri's many Roman ruins, such as Villa Jovis, a large villa once owned by the Roman emperor Tiberius. 
  • Admire the natural splendors found around Capri, such as the Arco Naturale and the famous Blue Grotto sea cave.
  • Learn how to choose local products and create your own Italian delicacies during a cooking workshop.

DAY 8

  • Make way for the Amalfi Coast, a stretch of coastline along Italy's Sorrentine Peninsula, known for its cliffs, beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages.
  • Prepare to hike a section of the Sentiero Degli Dei, a trail that runs along the entire Amalfi Coast to reach Positano.
  • Discover Ravello, a charming village perched 365 meters above the Tyrrhenian Sea and home to iconic cliffside gardens.
  • Visit an artisanal pasta factory in Gragnano to discover the many hidden secrets to making traditional pasta.

DAY 9

  • Good morning sunshine! Prepare your luggage and head back towards the Italian capital.
  • Discover Ostia Antica, a large archeological site that once served as the naval base of ancient Rome. 
  • Head out for a guided visit the Catacombs of St. Callixtus, famous for its Crypt of the Popes and its network of galleries that go on for 12 miles and counting!

DAY 10

  • With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to Roma Airport to catch your flight home. Ciao Italia!
