Sample itinerary for Québec City ·  All-Seasons Trips

DAY 1

  • Take the ferry across the St.Lawrence River, where you will get a spectacular view of the Château Frontenac and your very first glimpse of the city.
  • Head off on a walking tour of Quebec City. Hike up, down, and around the town with a local guide to see the Plains of Abraham, Parliament, Quartier Petit Champlain, Place Royale and more!
  • Stop to admire "La Fresque des Québécois", and see how many characters of Quebec's history you can identify.
  • Visit Le Village Huron to learn more about the Huron-Wendat Nation's past, present and future, in addition to discovering local legends.

DAY 2

  • Experience the daily military life of a British soldier in Quebec City as you become a "soldat de la tour" at the Martello Tower.
  • Take in the view from the top of the city’s tallest building: l’Observatoire de la Capitale during your self-guided visit.
  • Enjoy some free exploration time in Old Quebec with your friends and practice your conversational French. 
  • Visit the Musée de la Civilisation, the perfect place to explore Quebec from its various angles: pop culture, politics, science and more.

DAY 3

  • Enjoy the Côte-de-Beaupré! Visit the Ste-Anne de Beaupré shrine, Atelier Paré for some woodcarving & storytelling, take part in a copper engraving workshop, or enjoy a delicious poutine.
  • Visit the Montmorency Falls, the tallest waterfalls in the Province and the site of historic battles and legends. Plus, there's a sweet suspended bridge that spans the top of the falls and you're about to walk across it. 
  • Feast and dance the night away during your authentic French Canadian sugar shack experience.

DAY 4

  • Stroll along la Promenade des Gouverneurs to see le Château Frontenac, Cap Diamant overlooking the St-Lawrence River, the Plains of Abraham and more.
  • Travel back in time to witness the great battles of Quebec City through a sound and light show at the Musée du Fort.
  • Spend some extra time exploring in Old Quebec. Perhaps bargain with one of the many artists on rue du Trésor, shop ‘till you drop along rue St-Jean, or enjoy a busker’s street performance on Terrasse Dufferin!
