On our student tour's of Washington D.C., you'll see the star-spangled banner and Dorothy’s shoes at the National Museum of American History, walk in Old Town Alexandria and discover the southern charm of the 18th century port, then be amazed by the National Museum of Natural History.

Here's What's On Deck:

Departure from your school aboard a luxury motorcoach.

Arrive in Washington and meet your professional licensed tour guide at the Jefferson Memorial.

After introductions, stretch your legs as you visit the memorial and pay homage to the principal author of the Declaration of Independence.

Discover magnificient views of Washington and have a brief orientation of the city on your way to...

Dinner and to explore in the Old Post Office (meal vouchers are included).

Take an evening walk down Pennsylvania Avenue to see: J. Edgar Hoover Building (FBI), Old Post Office US Navy Memorial and the National Archives.

Enjoy a continental breakfast at the hotel.

Meet with your tour guide for a full day of activities.

Tour the Arlington National Cemetery.

See the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers, the Changing of the Guards, Custis-Lee Mansion and the Kennedy Graves. (There is the possibility of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Please note that this must be arranged through your school.)

See the executive, judicial and legislative branches of the US government during your guided tour of Washington DC's highlights, including photo stops at the White House, the Supreme Court, Capitol Hill, the National Archives, the Washington Monument and more.

See the Star-Spangled Banner and Dorothy's shoes at the National Museum of American History. (Lunch at the museum's cafeteria is at individual expense.)

Gain a better understanding of the natural world and our place in it as you visit the National Museum of Natural History.

Dinner at one of the restaurants in Union Station (dinner vouchers are provided).

Monument tour by night, to see: the Vietnam Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Reflecting Pool, the Lincoln Memorial, and the WWII Memorial.

Enjoy a continental breakfast at the hotel.

Meet with your tour guide for a full day of activities.

See the Wright 1903 Flyer, the Apollo 11 command module, and touch a lunar rock sample at the Air and Space Museum. (Lunch in the cafeteria is at individual expense.)

Visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring The Mall (read: Smithsonian Museums).

Choose among the following: African Art Museum, American Art Museum, American Indian Museum, Freer Gallery of Art, Hirshorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, National History Museum, Portrait Gallery, Postal Museum, Renwick Gallery, Sackler Gallery or Smithsonian Institution Building (aka The Castle).

Enjoy a delicious meal at the Fish Market restaurant in Old Alexandria.

Take a walking tour of Old Town Alexandria with your tour leader to discover the southern charm of this bustling 18th century port.
