Come see why Nicaragua is affectionately known as "The Land of Lakes and Volcanoes". Whether you're teaching Spanish, Geography, Science, or all of the above, your students are going to love their epic adventure to one of the most beautiful and pristine countries in Central America.

Here's What's On Deck:

Meet your group at the airport before registering for your flight to Managua, the beautiful capital of Nicaragua.

Land in Managua, meet your Tour Leader, and hop aboard your locally-chartered motorcoach. During your drive to your hotel, your Tour Leader will break the ice and introduce you to your Nicaraguan adventure!

Check in to your hotel before enjoying a local meal and a well-deserved night's rest.

Breakfast and orientation with your Tour Leader before making your way into Granada, one of the country's most beautiful cities.

Walking tour of Granada with your Tour Leader, where you'll encounter the city's post-colonial charm and Andalucian influence.

Time for lunch and free time to explore in groups (individual expense).

Take to get your cardio on! Bike tour along the centro Turistico coastline towards Puetro Asese.

Set sail on your boat cruise to Isletas de Granada, a small archipelago of 360 islands. What was once the site of Mombacho's volcanic eruption 20,000 years ago is now a thriving community with hundreds of bird species.

Return to your hotel for a local meal and a well-deserved night's rest.

Breakfast and orientation with your Tour Leader before hopping aboard your locally-chartered motorcoach for your journey to Mombacho Volcano.

Transfer to an all-terrain vehicle for the 4,400-foot climb to the top of Mombacho. You'll embark on a hike through the mountain's stunning forest, including four different active craters! Keep your eyes peeled for Mombacho's countless orchid species.

Time for lunch at a local farm, where you'll also learn about local agriculture and production methods.

Make your way back to Granada. Stop in Pueblo Blancos along the way, an artistic community brightened by its pearly white homes.

Time for a local meal before enjoying some free time and a well-deserved night's rest.

Breakfast and orientation with your Tour Leader before checking out of your hotel.

Make your way to San Jorge to catch the ferry to Ometepe Island, a volcanic island that sits in one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world, Nicaragua Lake! You're going to spend the next two days discovering the region's rich native history, not to mention countless bird species and howler monkeys.

Upon arriving at Ometepe, you'll head over to the Numismatic Museum to learn about the history and heritage of the region through the evolution of commerce.

You'll then head over to the Charco Verde Laguna for an authentic taste of indigenous oral history.

Next stop: Baya Verde, where you'll check in to your gorgeous hotel that sits right on the coast of a private bay.

Time for a wonderful local meal under the palms before settling down for free time and a well-deserved night's rest.

After lunch, it's time to discover ancient petroglyphs and stunning wildlife at the Finca El Porvenir.

What better way to end a day of kayaking and hiking than with a dip in the secluded thermal baths of Ojo de Agua?

Return to your hotel for a local meal, free time, and a well-deserved night's rest.
