Meet at the airport to catch your flight to Nice. Here's a bird's eye view of all the ground you'll be covering!

 

 

Arrive at Nice International Airport and meet you tour leader.

Walking tour of downtown Nice! Discover l’avenue Jean Médecin, Place Masséna, and the famous promenade des Anglais, which gives onto the superbe Galets beach.

Time for lunch and to explore (individual expense).

Visit Cannes and the beautiful Croisette, replete with sandy beaches and palm gardens. Make your way to le palais des festivals to explore the famous site of Cannes Film Festival.

Depart for Antibes and check in to your hotel.

Join your tour leader for a reinvigorating walk along the coast. Take in some of that Mediterranean air!

Time for supper, free time and a much-deserved night’s rest.

Visit Monaco, a tiny principality that’s as opulent as it is beautiful.

Guided tour of Monaco, including Condamine, Vieux-Monaco, the Prince’s Palace, the casino and more!

Picnic lunch in Vieux-Monaco.

Explore le musée Océanographique, whose 90 tanks of stunning, often rate specimens make it one of the oldest and most beautiful aquariums in Europe.

Quick stop in Menton, the warmest town on the Côte d’Azur, to explore breathtaking views and acres of olive gardens.

Make your way to Gênes, birthplace of Christopher Colombus.

Head out to Santa Margherita Ligure for a ferry ride to the picturesque region of Portofino. Explore the gardens of San Giorgio, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of Portofino.

All aboard! Next stop: Florence

Stop en route in historic Pisa for a walking tour of the Campo dei Miracoli, the Duomo, and the famous leaning tower (access to the tower at individual expense).

Arrive in Florence in time for lunch and exploration in piazza della Republica (individual expense).

Guided visit of Florence, highlighting the very best of the Renaissance era: Duomo de San Marco, piazza della Republica, Ponte Vecchio, and more.

Visit the extraordinary Santa Croce Basilica, erected in 1294.

Next stop: Rome! Pass by Appia Antica, a major hub for the Roman Empire, and visit the catacombs of San Callisto.

Make your way to Vatican City by metro, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican museum. Highlights include Michaelangelo’s Sixtine Chapel masterpiece.

Discover Saint Peter’s Basilica, a project where seemingly every major Baroque and Renaissance architect played a part!

Option to make your way up to the top of the Basilica to take in stunning views of Rome, Saint Peter’s Square and the Vatican gardens (individual expense).

Time for lunch in Navona Square (individual expense).

Spend the afternoon exploring Rome. Discover the Pantheon Theatre, St-Ignace, Marcus Aurelius’ column, Trevi fountain, Trinità dei Monti, pedestrian streets, world-renowned boutiques, and more!

Return to your hotel for supper, free time and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Spending the morning exploring the remnants of ancient Rome, including religious, commercial and political artifacts; the Palatin, where a long line of Rome’s most powerful figures called home. Don’t forget the Coliseum!

Time for lunch and to explore (individual expense).

Continue your tour of ancient Rome with a stop at the Augustus theatre, Trajan’s column, the Capitol, Arcoeli, the Piazza del Campidoglio, the Palazzo Senatorio, Victor Emmanuel II’s monument and more.
