Register for your flight to Rome.
Arrive at Rome’s airport, meet your tour leader, and hop on your locally-chartered motorcoach to Rome. You'll take the Appia Antica road into town, the main road used by the Roman Empire.
Stop at the San Callisto catacombs to enjoy a guided tour where you will learn about the role the catacombs play in Roman history (lunch along the way is at individual expense).
Settle into your comfortable hotel located only minutes away from the action!
Time to settle in for the evening before grabbing dinner at individual expense.
Following a nice breakfast, hop on the metro (subway) to Vatican City where your guide will take you on a tour of the Vatican Museum. Make sure not to miss Michaelangelo's Sixtine Chapel mural! It was painted in the early Fourteenth century.
Discover the Saint Peter's Basilica, where the most important architects of the Renaissance era left their legacy. You can visit the stunning Vatican gardens at individual expense.
Enjoy a late lunch close to la Piazza Navona (individual expense).
Spend the afternoon exploring downtown Rome, including the Pantheon, the ever-famous Trevi fountain, the majestic stairs of the Trinità dei Monti, and much more. Avid window shoppers will have the opportunity to explore classic boutiques lining Rome's narrow streets, not to mention its beautiful architecture.
Relax and unwind at the hotel before hitting the town for dinner at a local restaurant.
Begin the day with a nourishing breakfast before spending the morning at the Forum, the heart of ancient Rome. This walking tour will allow you to discover the remains of the religious, political, and commercial centres of ancient Rome.
You will also discover the Palatin, where ancient aristocrats and emperors used to live. This site is one of the most stunning archeological sites in all of Rome. Your guide will also take you to discover one of ancient Rome’s most prized symbols, the Coliseum.
Grab lunch along the way at individual expense.
Continue your tour by visiting the famous Trojan Column, the Arcoeli stairs, la Piazza des Campidoglio, le Pallazo Senatorio, the Victor Emmanuel II monument, and much much more.
Spend the end of the afternoon roaming downtown Roman with your group before heading off to dinner at a local restaurant.
Make your way back to the hotel for a well-deserved night's rest.
Check out of your hotel after breakfast because it's time to hit the road for Tuscany!
On the way, you will visit Orvieto, a delightful country village. Each narrow path is a blend of pristine traditional homes and stunning monuments, including a remarkable cathedral that evokes classic Italian gothic architecture. The view from the valley is simply breathtaking.
Continue your road trip and grab lunch along the way (individual expense).
Next, a visit to a local winery from the Montepulciano region to discover its caves and learn about their production methods. You'll get to sample some of the regio's olive oil, too!
Arrive in Florence, check in to your hotel, and enjoy a nice supper at the hotel restaurant. Finish the day with time to explore the city's endless charm before heading off for a well-deserved night's rest.
After breakfast, make your way to Cinque-Terre, to the south of Genoa. You'll discover a region of beautiful seaside landscapes and cliffsides.
Your motorcoach will take you to De La Spezia, where you will take the train to Riomaggoe. From there, you'll embark on the world-famous trail le Via dell’amore to Manarola (approximately 45-minute hike).
Enjoy a beautiful picnic together.
After having visited Manarola, you will take the train to Monterosso. You will then discover the beautiful landscapes from a different vantage point by taking the boat back to La Spezia. During this cruise ride across, a one hour stop in Portovenere will also take place.
Return to Montecatini Terme at the end of the day.
You will have some free time to eat dinner, and finish the day with a good night’s rest.
After breakfast, it's time for a guided tour of the Florence's major monuments: Duomo San Marco, the Piazza della Republica, Ponte Vecchio, and much more.
Explore the Santa Croce Basilica, built in 1294.
Free time in Florence for lunch and exploration in small groups (individual expense).
Option to visit the Uffizi, host to one of the most impressive Renaissance painting collections in the world, including Michaelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo de Vinci, and Botticelli (individual expense).
In the afternoon, visit the city of Pisa and its famous leaning tower.
Make your way back to Montecatini Terme for dinner at a local restaurant followed by free time and a much-deserved sleep.
Grab breakfast with your Tour Leader before hitting the road for Veneto.
This one's for the car-lovers! Stop in Modena to visit the Ferrari gallery, where you'll find trophies, photos, films, and some of the most beautiful and prestigious cars in automobile history.
Check in to your hotel just south of the Venetian Lagoon before crossing the nearby bridge to de Chioggia, aka "Little Venice", to explore with your Tour Leader.
Return to your hotel for a delicious meal, free time, and a well-deserved night's rest.
After breakfast, you'll hop on a boat to San Marco, where you''ll tour the Centuries-old Saint Mark's Basilica and the Doges Palace.
Time to grab lunch and explore in smaller groups (individual expense).
Continue your tour of the city with the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge, Santa Maria della Salute, and much more. Don't forget to check out the world-famous Gondolas!
Finish the day with free time to discover everything Venice has to offer. This is your chance to grab dinner on a terrasse with your friends and bid farewell to this stunning city.
Head back to Lido di Sottomarina for free time and a well-deserved night's rest.
Following breakfast with your Tour Leader, it's time to check out and make your way to the airport for your flight home.
