Combining Paris and Normandy in one trip is the ideal way to bring history lessons to life. The first steps that allied forces took on Normandy Beach were the first steps taken towards liberating Paris during World War II. Between the emotional experience of retracing those steps to the dynamic experience of walking in Paris' today, the experience as a whole will be unforgettable.

Meet at the airport to catch your flight to Paris.

Arrive at Charles de Gaulle International Airport, meet you tour leader, and hop on your motorcoach and set off to discover the City of Lights.

Guided tour of Paris by to see: l’Arc de Triomphe, les Champs Élysées, la tour Eiffel, le Louvre, Notre-Dame and more…

Enjoy you first Parisian lunch (individual expense).

Take a picture of the Eiffel Tower from the best vantage point: le parvis du Palais de Chaillot.

Get a lay of the land atop one of the most iconic towers in the world: La Tour Eiffel

Check in to the hotel before dinner at a local restaurant and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Breakfast and orientation at the hotel with your tour leader.

Discover one of the most renowned museums in the world, le Louvre. Enjoy a tour with one of the museum’s specialized guides, followed by free time to explore their epic art collection.

Walking tour of the Latin Quarter as you make your way to le square du vert-Gallant.

Time for lunch and to explore in the diverse and inexpensive Latin Quarter (individual expense).

Discover the charming archipelago of Ile St-Louis and Ile de la Cité.

Visit the magnificent cathédrale Notre-Dame, a centuries-old structure that took over 170 years to build! 

Free time and exploration in the neighbourhood of des Halles, followed by dinner at a nearby local restaurant.

Spend the evening exploring the charming Beaubourg and its fountains as you make your way to City Hall and Notre Dame.

Finish your evening jaunt with a stop at le Louvre, lit up in all its nighttime splendor.

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a guided tour of the musée d’Orsay, where you’ll admire great works by the likes of Monet, Manet, Deguas, Renoir and Van Gogh.

Walking tour along the river Seine before stopping at l’hôtel des Invalides.

Time for lunch and to explore (individual expense) before taking in the sights and sounds during you cruise along the river Seine.

Prepare to sing a French class classic as you make your way to l’Arc de triomphe! You’re about to step onto l’avenue des Champs Élysées.

Dinner at a nearby restaurant before a well-deserved night’s rest.

All aboard! Next stop: St Malo

Stop en route for a guided tour of the stunning Versailles Palace

Spend the day discovering St-Malo, the birthplace of Jacques Cartier, the first European explorer to lay claim to Canada in 1534. Grab some lunch along the way (individual expense).

Walking tour of the St-Malo’s coast line, following free time at the beach!

Check in to your hotel for supper, free time and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Breakfast and orientation with your tour leader, following check out.

Arrive at the Cancale oyster farm where you will learn the ins and outs of maritime culture. Dive into cultivation techniques used by ancient fisheries dating as far back as the 1st Century B.C. (oyster tasting is at individual expense).

Hop back on your motor coach and depart for Mont Saint-Michel, where you’ll grab lunch (individual expense).

Guided tour of Mont St-Michel, an architectural marvel with ancient castles, picturesque thoroughfares and a historic abbey.

Travel to Caen and check in to the hotel before dinner, free time and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Breakfast and orientation with your tour leader.

Visit the Caen Memorial and see an interactive multimedia presentation illustrating the conflicts of the 20th Century.

Lunch at the Caen Memorial (individual expense).

Spend the afternoon on the Beaches of Normandy at Longues-sur-Mer where you’ll discover traces of World War Two, including fortifications of the “Atlantic Wall”, a command tower and four armed bunkers.

Visit Pointe du Hoc, an important WWII battleground and home to a memorial and museum dedicated to the D-Day invasion.

Stop to pay your respects at the American cemetery at Colleville, an expanse of 9,386 graves that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Return to the hotel for dinner and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Breakfast and orientation with your tour leader followed by check out. All aboard! Next stop: Paris

Stop en route at the beautiful port city of Honfleur, where you’ll be charmed by pedestrian streets lined with half-timber houses and the main attraction, l’église Sainte Catherine.

Time for lunch in Honfleur (individual expense).

Tour the château Gaillard, a historic castle dating back to the 12th Century when battles raged between France and England. What was once known as the “key to Normandy” is now host to an epic panoramic view of the Seine valley.

Check in to your hotel near Charles de Gaulle International Airport before enjoying supper, free time and a much-deserve night’s rest.

Breakfast and orientation with your tour leader, followed by your hotel check out.

Depart for Charles de Gaulle International Airport to catch your flight home.
